Sex & The City - The Movie

All I can say is that while Charlotte was worrying about drinking the water in Mexico, I was sitting up straight in my movie theater seat. It's a movie theater. Head lice!
Oh, and Ainsley can say the words watermelon and eleven.

These Days

Either Ainsley is a much easier baby, or I am much better at taking care of them. I'm not certain. One may be a result of the other.

So That's That

Kevin's at hockey. Ainsley goes to bed at 8:00. Harry's passed out across his bed. Bailey's even tired from "camp." I'm kind of bored! Maybe it's time I start catching up on work?

Elmo Makes Me Sleepy

Originally used as a tool to occupy infant Harry while we spooned food into his mouth, Elmo now entertains Ainsley so that we can enjoy our dinner. About 50% of the time she zonks.

On the way to Cape May

We somehow managed to beat the clock and make it to Cape May in 3.5 hours. That includes 1 pit stop at Maryland House so Harry could pee. We quickly fed Miss Ainsley and were on our way to visit family. Ainsley slept peacefully in close quarters Saturday night, waking quietly at 5AM. She chatted everyone up every chance she got, though. All it takes is a smile to get her going!
I've gotten so used to taking shots from my cell phone that I actually forgot my camera this weekend! I am sure THE WILEYS WILL NEVER SHARE THE PHOTOS THEY TOOK but I hope that Meghan will post some from her cool new camera! Ainlsey got to see Aunt Meghan and Uncle Ian at PopPop Goo's one more time this spring before she becomes a giant! We were able to time things well enough to get to West Chester with 2 sleeping sweet peas for just a few hours before heading home. We didn't get to swing through Cherry Hill or to see Lisa and family as I had hoped in West Chester since we only had about 4 hours there (Lisa if you are reading this I still need to call you!) but the kiddies cooperated to make the whirlwind travel enjoyable.

Growing out of the newborn clothes.
Preparing to start eating cereal next month!
Sometimes wearing cute outfits to Miss Menike's that she didn't sleep in.

Home Alone

Kevin went to Boston for work last night so I was home alone with the kiddies. It's no secret that I don't stay home alone, or cook dinner, so I called in the reinforcements. My dad got here to guard the door and cook pot roast. I got to do the night shift with Ainsley. It's not so bad, really. She goes to bed at 8 now, right after Harry. Last night she even seemed to prefer going to sleep on her own, in her crib, which is the recommended method (I've been the one holding out on that one, so we could cuddle!). She got to the overtired point and didn't need any more stimulation. She calmed right down in her crib. The phone work her at 10 and again at 12, but she otherwise slept until 5, then went back to sleep. Ainsley is pretty easy. I think I can say I've yet to be stressed out from her crying, which is usually for cause. She's sweet!

If I Haven't Mentioned It....

Ainsley is super cute! In Baby Whisperer terms, Harry was a textbook baby, and still is. If anyone is by the book, it's Mr. Harry! I am tempted to classify Ainsley as an Angel Baby. I think it may totally be my perspective, rather than actuality, but she's very close! It's neat how they've always been so different...or is it us who are different? I'm fascinated!

Pensive

Ahhhh. Aveeno.

Carrier Monkey decided to bring home a stomach bug, so Ainsley and I had the same unpleasant symptoms all week. Luckily, mine did not result in diaper rash. Ainsley managed like a trooper, and even slept through the night during the event! 8PM -4AM! Shocking! Her little bum suffered, though, and she shrieked in pain a couple of times. Heart wrenching. A couple of soaks in an oatmeal bath, washcloths instead of baby wipes, and Desitin with zinc oxide did wonders and she healed up quickly. SHe is starting to seem pretty hungry again too!

I Felt the Earth Move!

Yesterday I was not feeling well, so I layed down for a minute to rest. Moments later I was statled awake by a loud grumble. It felt like an earthquake! I looked around and nothing was moving. Bailey seemed oblivious. This feeling used to happen to me when I traveled and had too much caffeine, so I wasn't too suprised. Last night I heard a similar grumbling, which I alerted Kevin to. This one may have been the ceiling fan, I'm not sure. Turns out though that at 1:30PM in Annadale yesterday there was, indeed, a micro-quake. Cool!
It seems as though I may have been feeling badly because of the earthquake...Not cool!

Awww!!!

Sweet Pea was so happy and calm today. I couldn't even bring myself to put her in her carrier. She is such a good baby. I am still convinced she is a Little Person though. She's got the shortest legs!
